Introduction to Team N° 05 :

Overall Objectives :

Since the advent of the digital age, the volume of information transmitted over networks worldwide necessitates information processing aimed at reducing data size while preserving their integrity. Digital compression thus becomes a necessity to ensure archiving on one hand and to facilitate transmission on the other.

The remarkable technological advancements of recent years, the reduction in hardware costs, and the availability of high-performance platforms to the general public have led content providers to offer an increasing variety of options for digital image transmission. Furthermore, the increase in bandwidth in global networks has enabled the development of applications such as Internet television. Simultaneously, efforts are being made to reduce the size of transmitted data, both for multimedia content (videos, images, music, sound, etc.) and for conventional data (documents, web pages, etc.), as well as to protect this data through effective encryption and coding techniques.

Scientific Foundations :

1- Data Compression with and without Loss.

2- Data Encoding and Encryption for Communication.

3- Optimization of Communication Systems.
